4TH YEAR CAPSTONE PROJECT

Centre Roast is a Coffee Company that roasts, packages and brews its own coffee. The goal of the project is to create a social space in the community that fosters connection through the enjoyment and education of coffee. The design will incorporate Centre Roast's cafes, roastery and company offices into one energizing and collaborative building. Centre Roast's goal is to create a large communal cafe and workspace that is currently lacking in downtown Calgary. Calgary's downtown amenities are currently business oriented and target the 9-5 worker demographic. As the cities economy changes the downtown community requires more ressources to support its growth. Centre Roast new building will help to diverify and support the downtown as it transistions form a business oriented downtown to an area with thriving residential communites and tourism.
